The pre-launch ad clearance checklist for agencies (2026)

Agencies now ship more AI variants than any review process was built for. This is the short list we would run on every one before it spends a client's money.

Key points

Before launch, every variant should pass four groups of checks: platform policy, claims and evidence, AI disclosure and endorsements, and brand rules. Then the exact version that passed should be approved and recorded.

The record is the part most teams skip, and the part clients and regulators ask for first.

Platform policy

1. No second-person wording that implies a health, financial or personal condition. 2. Category restrictions respected: age targeting for supplements and weight loss, financial disclosures for credit and investing. 3. The landing page makes the same claims as the ad, because platforms review both.

Claims and evidence

4. Every factual claim maps to evidence on file: "clinically proven", "dermatologist tested", "#1", "guaranteed". 5. Cosmetic claims describe appearance, not body function. 6. Prices, trials and terms are complete and not hidden behind the click.

AI disclosure and endorsements

7. Realistic AI imagery, video or voice shown in the EU carries a visible label in every crop. 8. No AI person presented as a real customer. 9. Paid creators and free product are disclosed.

Brand and approval

10. Logo, product and colours match the brand rules, and AI did not alter the product. 11. The call to action is seen early enough to work. 12. The client approved this exact version, and you can show who approved it and when.

Running it at volume

Twelve checks are easy for three ads and impossible for forty by hand. AdVizion runs the list on every variant, pins each finding to the ad, fixes what failed, and sends the client one link to approve the exact version, with the record kept.

Questions

Does a cleared ad guarantee platform approval?

No. Platforms make their own decisions. A pre-launch check reduces avoidable rejections and gives you a record of what was checked.

Who should own clearance at an agency?

The account lead owns the approval record; the creative lead owns the fixes. Clients and their legal teams approve the exact version.
